Centre for Ecology and Hydrology The Centre for Ecology and Hydrology (CEH) is the UK’s Centre of Excellence for research in the terrestrial and freshwater environmental sciences.
Countryside Council for Wales The Countryside Council for Wales is the Government's statutory adviser on sustaining natural beauty, wildlife and the opportunity for outdoor enjoyment in Wales and its inshore waters.
Countryside Survey A major audit of the British countryside. It has involved both detailed field observations and satellite imagery which has provided a complete land cover census for Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Natural England Natural England works for people, places and nature, to enhance biodiversity, landscapes and wildlife in rural, urban, coastal and marine areas; promote access, recreation and public well-being; and contribute to the way natural resources are managed so that they can be enjoyed now and in the future.
Environment and Heritage Service EHS takes the lead in advising on, and in implementing, the Government's environmental policy and strategy in Northern Ireland. "Our aim is to protect and conserve the natural and built environment and to promote its appreciation for the benefit of present and future generations"
Joint Nature Conservation Committee The JNCC is the UK Government's wildlife adviser, undertaking national and international conservation work on behalf of the three country nature conservation agencies English Nature, Scottish Natural Heritage and the Countryside Council for Wales
Local Record Centres

The LRCs Contacts Database has been funded by the National Biodiversity Network and created by the National Federation for Biological Recording. Where possible, it lists all the active Local Records Centres and their contact details.

Marine Life Information Network The MaRLIN programme was established in 1998 by the Marine Biological Association with the aim of providing information for marine environmental management, protection and education.
National Schemes and Societies Its main remit is to support its member groups and their volunteers, for example in making their data available to others.
National Biodiversity Network The National Biodiversity Network (NBN) is a new way of sharing wildlife information by making it accessible to everyone through the Internet. This new network of biodiversity information will help people to make informed and wise decisions about out natural environment.
Nature Navigator (NHM) Explore Britain's wildlife and view artworks from the Museum's collections
NBN Gateway The NBN Gateway allows you to view distribution maps and download UK wildlife data by using a variety of interactive tools.
Nature on the Map This is Natural England's interactive map site.
National Federation for Biological Recording

The NFBR is the premier UK organisation for practitioners involved in biological recording.

Recorder 6 (JNCC) Recorder 6 provides a powerful, standards based tool for collection and collation of biological recordings. It includes data entry, reporting and distribution mapping functionality.
Scottish Natural Heritage Our task is to secure the conservation and enhancement of Scotland's unique and precious natural heritage - the wildlife, the habitats and the landscapes which have evolved in Scotland through the long partnership between people and nature.
UK Phenology The Woodland Trust has joined forces with the Centre for Ecology & Hydrology to monitor and evaluate changes to nature's events.
