irecord dragonflies app

Hi I use irecord butterflies app and you can add the photographs later, the sightings are listed and can be edited, when I try and do the same using irecord dragonflies it doesn't hold the species name and just adds a new record, I had also a problem with the location not working this has now been fixed by using firefox, it is not practical to photograph using the phone damsel and dragonflies but the exact gps is useful.

Hi,

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback. I agree with all you have said, we are actually working on the second app version, where these issues you have mentioned should be hopefully fixed.

dragonfly app

As a temporary fix I am using the butterfly app to get a location fix because I can delete these records, the save and send later option I find really useful, as is the ability to delete a sighting, on occasion  I verify my sightings using reference material, I will be using the desktop version of the app until the new revision is available

It is strange that you can't

It is strange that you can't geolocate yourself with the app. Try updating your Chrome/Safari and enable location services for the browser.

Also, if you want to delete a record on the app, you can disable automatic record synchronisation (in app Settings page), so that they are only sent to database when you want, and then click on info icon on your record (User page) and the Delete button (top right header). This would remove it locally on your device.

iRecord Dragonflies is an obsolete app

In case anyone comes across this, note that the iRecord Dragonflies app is has been obsolete for several years. Please use the generic iRecord App instead, as this has excellent enhancements for dragonfly recording and is only missing the built-in species ID help.
