Bluetooth GPS = 10 figure OSGR?

Hi there,

I was considering investing in a Garmin GLO 2 bluetooth gps device to connect to my andriod phone. Will this allow me to submit 10 figure OS grid refs in the LERC Wales (iRecord) app, please?

Cheers,

Mark

No, the app doesn't have

No, the app doesn't have Bluetooth integration with external devices. You can only use the internal GPS on the phone (which automatically determines the gridref accuracy) or enter the gridref manually into the location field.

TBH, why would you want to

TBH, why would you want to give 10figure (1m) accuracy records when a typical hand held GPS typically has a 3m margin of error?  For NBN purposes 10figure records are cut down to 8 figure records for mapping purposes because of this.
