Anthyllis vulneraria subsp. carpatica
A short-lived perennial introduced in grass-seed mixtures, and appearing on roadsides and in waste places on a range of soils. Lowland.
This subspecies, which is represented in our area by var. pseudovulneraria, was collected in the wild in Britain as early as 1895 (Guernsey). It is increasingly sown in new amenity plantings. Many recorders have not identified A. vulneraria to subspecies, and this taxon is probably more widespread than the map suggests.
Native of N.W. & C. Europe.
