A rhizomatous perennial herb found as a garden escape in Dunbartonshire. Lowland.
This species is only occasionally grown in gardens. It was recorded from the wild by 1987 (Dunbarton) where it may have been present for some years. It may be confused with G. ibericum and their hybrid.
Native of the Caucasus.
