An evergreen shrub grown in gardens and found naturalised in Abbey Wood, Tresco (Isles of Scilly); seedlings have also been reported on walls in W. Cornwall. Lowland.
L. scoparium was introduced into cultivation in Britain in 1772. It was recorded from the wild on Tresco in 1935.
