Caloplaca ochracea

Caloplaca ochracea. A species that grows on ljmestone, and has a thin, whitish or yellowish thallus. It is very over recorded as it loooks like so many other members of the genus. It should be checked by looking at the spores which are characteristically four-celled with a dumbell shaped internal cavity. This photograph was taken during a BLS meeting on Lismore Island in West Scotland
