Year I started recording:
Last updated on:

Primarily a Lepidopterist, but becoming increasingly interested in other insects as well as bryophytes. Average botanist. Also a lapsed birder.
I started moth trapping at the age of 13 and haven't stopped since...
My bogey species:
Pale Eggar, Waxwing
My most wanted:
Death's-head Hawk-moth, Oecophora bractella, Buxbaumia aphylla
All are micro-moths: Diasemia reticularis, Oxyptilus laetus, Ancylis tineana, Sterrhopterix fusca.
A few micromoths dissected over the winter, plus a few fungi and bryophytes. Highlights: the last of the British hornworts, Anthoceros punctatus, plus bogey moth species No 1 The Sprawler.
