Graphopsocus cruciatus A moderate sized (4-5mm), ‘picture-winged’ barkfly. One of the commonest species in Britain and Ireland.
Wing of Graphopsocus cruciatus Areola postica joined to median vein. Characteristic forewing pattern with noticeable cluster of dark patches in the basal half of the wing.
Wing of Graphopsocus cruciatus Occasionally specimens are found with the centres of the patches colourless.
