Loensia variegata A moderately large (4-5mm) ‘picture-winged’ barkfly. Uncommon in Britain and Ireland.
Loensia variegata Forewing heavily speckled.

Subgenital plate (underside of apex of abdomen) has two large oval side lobes with short dark lines (the dark lines are not always conspicuous).
